Meet Rafaela
Service in action
Rafaela doesn’t wait for a title to serve—she shows up wherever she’s needed.
In the aftermath of the Altadena and Palisades fires, she stood alongside volunteers, first responders, and military personnel, helping feed families and workers who had lost so much. Long days on her feet, moving from one station to another, making sure no one was overlooked—this is where her commitment is most visible: in the quiet, steady work of caring for people in crisis.
That same spirit carries into the holiday season. Each year, Rafaela dedicates her time to preparing Christmas gift boxes for children in Mexicali. While others celebrate, she’s wrapping presents, thinking about the kids who might otherwise go without. For her, service isn’t seasonal—it’s constant, and it’s personal.
Her dedication has taken her far beyond her own community. In Louisiana, after devastating floods displaced families, Rafaela was there—serving meals, helping gut damaged homes, and doing the difficult, hands-on work required to help people rebuild. And in Mayfield, Kentucky, after a tornado tore through the town, she joined relief efforts on the ground—sorting and distributing essential supplies, working on damaged homes, and offering support to families navigating unimaginable loss.
These moments tell a consistent story: Rafaela leads by doing. She doesn’t just talk about service—she lives it. Whether it’s in her own backyard or across the country, she steps in with compassion, grit, and a willingness to work.
She brings that same mindset to Assembly District 53.
For Rafaela, public service isn’t about position—it’s about responsibility.
And her record makes one thing clear: when people need help, she’s already on her way.
